Making your own Lizard sock puppet is easyish to do. The one thing about making a Lizard sock puppet is that you have to be a bit organic with it, let the shot develop as they say in pool.

The making of this sock puppet did not start off as a 'lizard' but waited to see what might work for the sock at hand.
Cut out a semi circle shape or any other shape you fancy (triangles etc) to make the Lizard sock puppets hood. Sow it onto the heel of the sock but stich it on at the bottom and leave the top loose, or, a small unstiched section or flap at the top.
Then cut out the long triangles or whatever shapes you want! Long thin strips, thick strips anything that you want on your Lizard sock puppet.
Heres the trick to save lots of sewing and time when making your Lizard sock puppet. Place the spikes or tendrils onto the back of the heel and pull up the rear part of the sock to cover the rear of the hood and the tendrils.
Pulling down the top of the front of the hood material you sowed on before you then stich through the sock and the tendrils to the rear of your Lizard sock puppet.
Thats the hard part done of making your Lizard sock puppet, all you need to do now is add on the eyes and tongue.
Of course you can go really wild and add whatever you want to make it more of your own Lizard sock puppet.
